Ottawa Fishing Adventures is a multi-species guide service that offers charters for individuals, families, or large groups. Our focus is on fun and learning.
We offer trips from half days to multiple days and although we work primarily on the Ottawa River, we also fish on the Rideau River, offer giant carp adventures on the St. Lawrence River and lake trout trips on the beautiful lakes of the Outaouais north of Ottawa.
Walleye, pike, catfish, bass, carp, crappie/panfish, sturgeon (Quebec license required) and muskellunge are our primary targets and we employ a wide variety of techniques – whatever will work best depending on conditions and time of year. Catches of over 50 fish a day in the boat are not uncommon!
Seasons:
Walleye/pike/sauger – Beginning in early May, to December
Muskellunge – Beginning early June to December 15th
Bass – Beginning in late June
Catfish/crappie/panfish – all year
Gar – Beginning early May to early fall
Sturgeon (Quebec license required) – June 15th
Our guides are highly experienced, OSGA (Ontario Sportfishing Guides Association) certified, Transport Canada inspected and certified, and fully insured. We use only the best equipment including Crestliner and Lund boats and Shimano/Loomis/PowerPro and Jackall tackle.
